John "Big John" Williams Jr.

John Williams Jr., better known to family and friends as "Big John," of Grove Hill, entered into eternal rest on Oct. 13, 2022 while at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital in Grove Hill. John was born May 28, 1976 to the parentage of Barbara Presnall Williams and John Williams Sr. John was a graduate of Clarke County High School, Class of 1994. Following graduation, he continued his education at Alabama Southern Community College, pursuing a career as an automotive technician. John was a lover of all sports and especially enjoyed going to the race track.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Barbara Williams and grandson, Joseph Smith III.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife of 24 years, Pamela Williams; his daughters, Tyra (Joseph) Smith and Taya Williams; grandson, Kohen Smith; his devoted father, John Williams Sr.; sister, Ursula (Issac) Welch; mother-in-law, Dorothy Love; sisters-in-law, Latisha Pendleton and April Reed; brother-in-law, Fred Welch Jr.; aunts, Veta Hunt, Gloria Hill, Gladys Williams, Alice Scott, Annette Madison and Emma Love; uncles, Larry (Kristie) Presnall, Willie Edward (Jessie) Williams, Temon Williams Jr., Larry Williams, Steve Foreman and Clausell Stallworth; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and devoted friends, James Powell, Stanley Coston, Willie James Thomas, Rev. Kevin Jackson, Deon Dickinson, Eric Davis and Demeatrice Laffitte.
