Kiana Jones Obituary

Kiana Necole Jones, affectionately known as “Kiki,” a native and a resident of Jackson, traded this life for eternity on Sunday, March 29, at Jackson Medical Center in Jackson. Born Oct. 2, 1994 to Rodney K. Jones and LaChandra D. Robinson, she was 25 years of age.

At an early age she united with Star of Zion AME Zion Church in Jackson. Kiana was a graduate of Jackson High School Class of 2013. She furthered her education at Troy University and Alabama A&M University until her health failed. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, doing makeup, listening to music, getting her beauty rest, and spending time with her babies. Though she did not live long, she was very feisty and enjoyed the days she did.

In addition to her father, Kiana was preceded in death by her sister Zara Jones; grandmother, Daphane Robinson; grandfathers, Eugene Philon and William H. Poe; and a special great aunt, Mary Mitchell.

“Kiki,” as she was affectionately known, will be cherished in the hearts of her devoted family, including
her mother, LaChandra Robinson of Jackson; stepfather, Carlos Westry of Thomasville; one sister, Nivia Westry of Jackson; grandmother, Cynthia (Mack) Wright of Whatley; grandfather, Tommie Lowe of Jackson; stepmother, Latora Jackson of Opelika; six uncles, Damarcus (Rosa) Jones of Huntsville, Joseph Jones and Antwan Jones, both of Walker Springs, Terrance (Manishia) Robinson of Savannah, Ga., LaDaniel Robinson of Jackson and Andre (Lakisha) Parker of Oakland, Calif.; six aunts, Gwendolyn Jones of Walker Springs, Tamiko (Willie) Taylor of Jackson, Meliany Robinson of Huntsville, Constance Nettles of Statesboro, Ga., Tanjaletta and Anjaletta; with a host of great-aunts and uncles; cousins, DeAsia, Michyla, Jadyn and Aniah; friends, LaDeidra Beckham and Shamonica Kidd; godparents, Dana and Jamie Adams; devoted friends of her father, Paul Webb, Ted Roberts and LaShavian Burden; three babies she loved as her nieces, Adalyn, Lakyn and Ivy; with other relatives and friends.
