LaKeysha Monique Phillips-Worthy, a native of St. Stephens and a resident of Jackson, was born on May 9, 1975 to the union of the late Raymond Phillips and late Patricia Diane Bumpers. LaKeysha found rest on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at the age of 47. A graduate of Leroy High in the Class of 1995, she was employed at the ARC of Clark County.
LaKeysha was an active member of the Good Stone AME Zion Church under the leadership of Pastor Juanita Brown-Johnson, where she served in a variety of capacities. LaKeysha enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Nothing brought her more joy than supporting her sons in sports; she was their number one fan no matter the distance she had to travel.
She leaves to forever cherish her memories her husband, Saul Worthy Jr.; her sons, Tory Phillips, Corey and Damien “Ray Ray” Phillips-Worthy; siblings, Anthony (Toya) Phillips Sr. and LaTressa Phillips; nephews, Anthony Jr., Bray and Casen; mom, Carolyn Phillips; aunts, Sharon (Rory) Robinson, Shelia (Craig) Cox, Brenda (Terry) Jackson, Toneka Payne, Louise Mitchell, Ann Phillips, Mary Carol Phillips, Linda Phillips, Dora (Fred) Bryant, Felecia Thomas and Rachel McDonald; uncles, Ozell Phillips and Tommie Phillips; great-aunts, Marion Harmon, Barbara (Curtis) Davis and Wilma (Luther) Crowell; great-uncle, Leroy (Barbara) Jones; mother-in-law, Mary Johnson; sister-in-law, Stacie Worthy-King; brothers-in-law, Byron and Marcus Worthy; with a host of loving and devoted cousins, other relatives and friends.
