La Tanya Williams

La Tanya Williams was born on May 20, 1965 in Campton, Calif. to Sallie and Gerald Williams. She departed this life on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Providence Hospital in Mobile.

La Tanya was known for her big smile and showing love to everyone. She never met a stranger; she took great pleasure in taking care of her loved ones and offering a listening ear to anyone who needed it. La Tanya loved to see people happy and wished the best for everyone. She loved her family very much.

Preceding her in death was her father, Gerald Williams; granddaughter, Teyonna Williams; and grandparents, Annie and Sam Mitchell, Mable Law and Henry Williams.

Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Mrs. Sallie Williams of Jackson; her daughters, Latiki Steele, Cassandra Williams, Nikkie Williams and Monique Williams; grandchildren, Natoria Jackson, Maleek Williams, MiKeriria Williams, Jeremy Thomas, Johnathan Snell, Samareyona Kelly, Mycah Williams, Maddox Williams and a bunny baby named Midnights; siblings, Gerald (Michelle) Williams of Corona, Calif., Christopher Williams of Mobile, Robert Williams, Shelia (Michael) Hartfield of Jackson and Beverly Williams of Thomasville; and a bonus sister and devoted friend, Tracy Sims; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who she loved dearly.
