Larry Oneal Barnett, a native and resident of Jackson, traded time for eternity on Aug. 23, 2021 at his home in Jackson. He was born on Jan. 7, 1954 to Allean Barnett and Roy Stabler Sr. Larry enjoyed playing dominoes, fishing and grilling.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Robert Stabler; and sister, Annette Louise Stabler Brown.
Left to cherish his memories are his brothers, Cleo "Ben" Barnett, Marvin (Vera) Barnett, James (Nacol) Barnett, Kenneth Oneal Beck and Roy (Teresa) Stabler Sr., all of Jackson, Roy (Teresa) Stabler Jr. of Ft. Myers, Fla., Roy Lee (Cassandra) Stabler Jr. and Kenneth Stabler, both of Mobile, and Cervelma (Sandra) Jones of Birmingham; sisters, Eva S. Walker, Beverly (Edward) McAlpine, Marilyn (Wadie) Kiel and Stephanie Stabler, all of Mobile, Deaner (Anthony) Anderson of Gautier, Miss., Shelia (LC) Crowell, Daisy (Alfred) Donald and Irish M. Jackson, all of Jackson; stepmother, Mary Sue Stabler of Jackson; uncle, Peter Hazewood of Thomasville; aunt, Louise "Aunt Ruth" Stabler in California; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Public viewing will be Friday, Sept. 3, from 4 until 6 p.m., Jackson Memorial Funeral Home, 203 East Ross St., Jackson, AL. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, 1 p.m., at Hazewood Cemetery on Hazewood Drive in Jackson. Minister Shelia Crowell will be the eulogist.
