Heaven doors opened early Tuesday March 29, 2022 at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. The Angels of the Lord came for our beloved brother, Mr. Lawrence Edward Williams. He was born April 2, 1952 to the late Samuel T. Williams and Janie R. Williams.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the St. Union Missionary Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir. His birthplace is Jackson in which he attended Harper High School , The city was always very dear to his heart, he never forgot you ! Lawrence moved to Mobile to live with sister, Eartha, later moving to Wardolf, MD with his brother Clarence. Lawrence later became a resident at Chesapeake Nursing Home in Lexington Park, MD.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles L. Williams and Roy Lee Williams Sr. ; sisters, Clara Jane and Elizabeth Williams.
His memory will be cherished by so many ; his brother , Clarence A. Williams of Waldorf, MD; sisters, Eartha Willis of Mobile, AL , Marie Hall of St. Louis, MO, Cynthia ( Dwayne)Samuels of Trussville, AL; uncles, Jesse Marvin Sr., Harold James, Theron Woods , Issac Williams, Luther Williams Jr. ; aunts, Clara Jean Wood, Sara Barnwell , Margaret Dean , Lurie Jackson, Betty L. Robinson, and Barbara Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and an abundance of caring and special friends, Tyrone Moye, Harriett Douglas, Yvonne Gladney, Rev. Howard, Allen, Larry, Jessie Leanon and all the folks on Mc Gowin Street.
