Lenora Parker Jackson was born August 7, 1956 in Jackson , to the parentage of the Walter George Parker and the late Martha Ella Rodgers Parker. she departed this world September 12, 2025 from UAB Hospital, Birmingham,AL.
Lenora became a member of Mt. Olive No. 2 Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Reverend E.L. Williams.
Lenora, known as " Sister'" was the second of five children. She received formal education at Harper High School and Jackson High School in Jackson, AL. She was employed with one of the local fast-food restaurants for over fifty years of dedicated service. Lenora enjoyed cooking, shopping, watching TV, and going to church. Most of all, she loved the Lord and her beloved family.
Preceding her in death were her father; her mother; one brother, Gregory Earl Parker, Sr.; one sister, Veronica Jill Parker Jones; grandmothers: Leola Rodgers and Corine Parker; and grandfathers: Ed Rodgers and Henry Parker Sr.
Precious memories of Lenora will forever be cherished in the hearts those she left behind, especially the child that she left behind , her one and only daughter, April Lashun Parker of Birmingham, AL; two sisters: Rose Mary Parker ( Kenneth Perine) and Benita Faye Parker Emory both of Jackson, AL; with A host of nieces, nephews and cousins; a very special nephew, Andre Parker of Oakland, CA; two devoted nieces: Melanie Parker of Dothan, AL and Shenay Parker Mcreynolds of Jackson,AL; best friend, Myrtis Jordan; two devoted cousins: Norma Dell Ezell, Marion Calhoun both of Jackson, AL; a devoted friend, Linda Pernell of Jackson, AL; special friends: Edna Whittle, Hattie Sampson, Annie McKenzie, Barbara Council. Ella McKenzie, Carolyn Dean, Marilyn Berry, Joenika Bryant,Marilyn Crum, Augusta Bailey, Claraceen James and Stella Johnson; host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
