Loretta Berry Lewis

Loretta Berry Lewis was born on September 5, 1957 in Fulton, AL to the late Lee Andrew Sr. and Lorean Penn Berry. At an early age, she joined the Lily Baptist Church of Fulton, AL where she remained a faithful member until her health failed.

Loretta was an active and loyal member of the Lily Baptist Choir where she also served as the choir president and church custodian. She was loved by many for her outstanding voice and her sweet personality. She was a member of the Clarke County High School Class of 1975.

Loretta was preceded in death by her sisters, Bettye Berry Southall, Jacqeline Berry, brother, Wayne Reed , stepdaughter, Jenean Lewis, brothers in law, Billy Mc Caskill and James Lewis.

Loretta leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Joe A. Lewis , daughters, Kendra ( Ceasar )Evans, and Brittney Welch Powell of Birmingham, AL, stepson, Anthony (Valinda ) Lewis Sr. of San Antonio, TX and one stepdaughter, Crystal ( Michael ) Dees of Mobile, AL, sisters, Shirley Mc Caskill of Birmingham , AL and Carolyn ( Michael ) Taite of Grove Hill, AL , brother, Lee Andrew Berry of Fulton , AL, brothers in law , Benjamin (Mary ) Lewis of Thomasville, AL, John ( Joyce ) Lewis of Sacramento, CA, sisters in law , Rosie Pearl Lewis  of Thomasville, AL, Carolyn  (Reginald) Boswell of Huntsville, AL, Brenda ( Larry ) Nichols of Charlotte, NC, two aunts, one devoted, Jewel Slaughter of Zimco, AL and Mary Lee Penn of Thomasville, AL , seven grandchildren, four devoted, Braxton Berry and Carterius Evans of Birmingham, AL, Amaria and Alivia Westry of Mobile , AL, three great grandchildren , one devoted, Bryson Berry of Birmingham, AL, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, three devoted, Joann Noid Nevelous of Pensacola , FL, Clara Perkins Thoams of Fulton, AL.and  Alma Jackson of Tuscaloosa , AL.
