Luerea (Scott) Richardson

Luerea Scott Richardson, 82, of Leroy, went to be with the Lord Aug. 15, 2021 while at Jackson Health Care. Luerea was the daughter of Mattie Lee Robinson and Alex Scott Sr. She was a member of Good Stone A.M.E. Zion Church in Leroy.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Edward J. Richardson Jr.; her parents; son, Larry Richardson; granddaughter, Kathryn Victoria Briana Harkless; sister, Irma (J.C.) Reed; brother, Alex (Mattie Bell) Scott Jr.; and her sister, Hattie (Sylvester) Henderson.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, grandchildren and siblings. Luerea is survived by daughters, Evelyn (Robert) Johnson of Pensacola, Fla., Harriette “Jenise” Robinson of Leroy, Jacqueline Loftin of Goldsboro, N.C. and Sherry (Terence) Ishman of Birmingham; sons, Reginald Richarson of Lithia, Ga., Eddie Lee (Rachel) Taylor of Leroy and Edward (Carly) Richardson III of Jackson; siblings, Anna Nora Jackson of Fairhope, Eva Scott of Gautier, Miss., Ned Scott of Mt. Vernon, Johnny Scott of Grove Hill, Audrey (Arthur) Wilson of Shreveport, La., Shirley (Greg) Fountain of Jackson, Jane Collins of Jackson, Cheyenne Ezell of Colorado, Louvenia Scott of Mobile and Vicey Mae (Nando) Scott of Mobile; two aunts, Tillman Williams of Mobile and Myrtle Inge of Prichard; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She will forever be missed by the remaining Original Golden Girls, Lula Mae Ervin Jackson, Betty Jean Moore and Dora Mae Robinson.
