Malanda Reed Obituary

Malanda Jones Reed was born May 15, 1945, the daughter of the late Zora and David Jones. She left this life to be with her Eternal Father Monday, Sept. 6, 2021.

Malanda retired from the Citronelle Convalescent Center, following more than 40 years of dedicated service. She was known by all for her caring and giving spirit. She will be greatly missed not only by her precious family, but by all who knew or met her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Reed; daughters, Monica D. Reed and Kenya M. Reed; sons, Constant L. Reed and Anthony L. Reed; sisters, Mary B. Reed and Ceola Witherspoon; brothers, Robert E. (Sharon) Jones, Henry E. Jones and Joe Jones.

Malanda is survived by her daughters, Melissa (Albert) Reed, Jessica (Lawrence) West, Debra (Chris Collins) Reed, Shalecia Reed, Tiffiney (Joe) Farmer, Zora B. Reed and Marylin Reed: sons, Robert (Loudella) Reed, David L. Reed, Chester (Cara) Reed, Adrian (Lekenji) Reed and Torrey (Vernida) Reed; sisters, Eva Gray Jones, Elizabeth (Melvin, Deceased) Robinson, Dorothy (Oscar) Reed, Jessie (Ben) Matt, Annie R. Williams and Letha (Emile) Bell; brother, Dave Jones Jr.; two daughters-in-law, Monica Reed and Veronica Snow; one son-in-law, Frankie Reed; devoted friend; Irene Benjamin; with 19 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
