Mamie Lee Campbell was born Jan. 6, 1937 in Bladon Springs to the late Ben Campbell and Marie Campbell.
Mamie confessed her faith in Christ at an early age at Goodwill Baptist Church. Later, relocating to Columbus, Ga., to live with her daughter Jewel T. Curry, she united with Macedonia Christian Ministries where she remained a faithful servant until her health failed. She departed this life Nov. 20, 2019 surrounded by her beloved family at St. Francis Hospital.
Preceding her in death are one brother, Bennie Campbell, and four sisters, Mertha Coker, Maggie Holcombe, Lillie Holmes and Willie K. Wiley.
Surviving her departure with cherished memories are two loving daughters, Jewel T. Curry of Columbus, Ga., and Gloria D. Bowie of Anniston; one brother, Freddy (Donna) Campbell of Mobile; three sisters, Alice Campbell of Mobile, Zella Duff of Montgomery and Henrietta Powe of Mayo, Fla.; seven grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
