Marion Louise Jones Harmon, a life-long resident of the St. Stephens community, born Jan. 4, 1948 to the parentage of O.Z. Jones and Lucille Dixon Jones, entered into eternal rest Tuesday April 8, 2025 at her home.
Marion, affectionally known as "Tootsie," was the seventh of 13 children. She attended school in St. Stephens and Prestwick High School. Marion worked in the public system for a while, Marion enjoyed staying home working in her garden and watching her favorite cooking shows. She was a former member of James Chapel Baptist Church in St. Stephens and later united with New Jerusalem Church until her health began to decline.
Marion was united in holy matrimony to Webster Harmon, Jr. and this union was blessed with eight children. She was a great wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.
Preceding her in death were her parents, O.Z. Jones and Lucille Mixon Jones; daughter, Wanda Louise Harmon; grandson, Anthony Jones Jr.; three sisters and six brothers.
She leaves to forever cherish her memories three sons, Webster (Vanessa) III, Eddie and James Harmon; four daughters, Juanita (Jeffery) Chapman, Marilyn (Anthony, Sr.) Jones, Tonia McCaster and Sonia Harmon; six grandchildren, Alexis, Nicholas, Marcus, Scottie, Sierra and Wayne; eight great-grandchildren, Kel, Za'riah, Trey, Skylar, Iona, Da'sean, Malcolm and Leighton; one devoted brother, Leroy Jones; two devoted sisters, Barbara (Curtis) Davis and Wilma (Luther) Crowell; one brother-in-law, Andrew Harmon; five sisters-in-law, Carrie Harmon, Eva Avie, Catherine Abston, Annie Jones and Carrie Harmon; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
