Marion Louise Foxx Poellnitz, a native of Jackson, AL, was born February 1, 1956 to the union of Doris Dean Foxx and Marvin Foxx in Jackson, AL. She made her earthly transition on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 while at NYU Langone Hospital in Long Island, NY.
Later in life, Marion relocated to New York with her mother. She returned to Jackson, AL where she met united with Matthew Poellnitz, Sr. They moved back to New York and begin their life together.
Marion enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, reading, listening to music and being apart of the Senior Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris Dean Foxx and Marvin Foxx; brother, Rodney Foxx; grandparents: Ethel Glivens Dinkins Dean and Vernon Dean; aunts: Retha Mae Dean, Mary Lee Dean Williams, and Inez Dean King; uncles: Warren Dean, Edmond Dean and Robert Lee Dean.
Marion leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband, Matthew Poellnitz, Sr. of Huntington Station, NY; her daughters: Kenisha Poellnitz of Huntington Station, NY, Monique Leonard of Baldwin, NY and Shaunte' Poellnitz of Huntington Station, NY; her son, Matthew Poellnitz, II.; grandchildren: Dorrian, Mekhi, Daunte, Kiara, Destyni, Asteria, Matthew III; great-grandchildren: Celena and Ava; four aunts: Ethel Lee Dean of Jackson, AL, Helen (Donald) Pettway of Des Plaines, III, Carolyn Dean of Jackson, AL and Melvadean Dean of Mobile, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; devoted friend, Sonia Frazier.
