Martha Mae Brown Frowner, a life-long resident of the Manila community, answered the Master's call on March 24, 2026, while at Jackson Medical Center. She was born to the parentage of Bessie Hunt Brown and Freddie Brown in Manila.
She accepted Christ at an early age and united with St. Matthews No. 1 Baptist Church in Manila, where she was a faithful member until her health began to fail. In 1972, she united in holy matrimony to the Rev. Henry Frowner and to this union they were blessed with seven children. She enjoyed spending time with family and cooking delicious meals.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Bessie and Freddie Brown; sister, Emma Leggett; brothers, Horace Brown and Arthur Brown; and grandson, Fredrick Durgin.
Left to cherish her memories, is her loving and devoted husband, the Rev. Henry Frowner of Manila; children, Marianne Frowner of Indiana, Kimberly Frowner, Marquita Frowner, Shonda Frowner, Darrell (Tameka) Frowner and Marcus (Melissa) Frowner, all of Manila, and Gregory Frowner of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Demi Walker, Takeedra Poe, Deonta Poe, Trevon Campbell, Jahne Whittaker, Marissa Frowner, Markel Frowner, De'Aundre McClain, Rhylee Hunt and Joshua Frowner; six great-grandchildren; two loving sisters, Lou Ida (Levi) Marks of Axis and Augustine Bryant of Walker Springs; sisters-in-law, Annie Frowner, and Aretha Frowner, both of Alma, Mary Kirskey of Chicago, Ill. and Gladys Brown; brother-in-law, the Rev. Webster Frowner of Kansas; with a host of nieces, including devoted niece Rosemary Hunt, nephews, with devoted nephew, Eddie Bryant Jr.; with other relatives and friends, including devoted friend, Sarah Walker.
