Mary Lucille Gamble best known as “Lil Mama” peacefully transitioned at her home on October 17 th , 2024. Born to JC Gamble Sr. and Willie Mae Gamble on October 27th,
1954. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, auntie, and friend. Lil Mama was a native of Jackson, AL and resident of Mobile, AL. She
leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. Even at an early age, Lil Mama was a force to be reckoned with. Her friends and family would all say she was a “no
sugar coat” jokester who kept you laughing, but also kept you straight. She was always up for a challenge. She often told stories of how she taught people to fish, play cards, or
even how to drive. If you wanted to make her smile, talk about fishing. She loved fishing just about as much as she loved family. Lil Mama was a babysitter and adviser to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, JC Gamble Sr. and Willie Mae Gamble; siblings Mattie Martin, Roy Lee Gamble, Willie James Gamble and Mary Bush McDonald;
One Devoted Friend, Annie Mae Bradley. Lil Mama leaves to cherish her memories her children Christine and Lyletha Gamble of Mobile, AL and Eddie Gamble of Jackson, AL;
Siblings: Earl Martin (Beverly) of Creola, Al; Beatrice Gamble and Annie Atkins (Tracey) of Corona, CA; Mark Bush (Comelethia) of Jackson, AL; Valerie Bush Brown of Memphis, TN; JC Gamble Jr. of Springhill, FL; Natasha Gamble of Troy, NY; Sherman Gamble of Gulfport, MS; Kaylan Gamble of Mobile, AL; One devoted cousin: Marion Goodwin of Jackson, AL and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom she adored and loved dearly.
