Obituary

Minister Rosie Ann, a native of Grove Hill and a resident of Montgomery, transitioned from this life on Saturday, March 18, 2023, while at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery. She was born to Elise Rodgers Jackson and William Jackson Jr. in Grove Hill.

Early in life she was a member of Pine Chapel No.1 Baptist Church, later uniting with True Light Tabernacle Holiness Church. Relocating to Montgomery, she united with Kingdom Enforcer Worship Center. 

Rosie was a graduate of Wilson Hall High Class of 1965. Following graduation, she continued her education at Selma University, later also graduating from Alabama State University.   

She loved worshiping and praising the Lord, traveling and shopping. She had a great love for children.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Edna Jackson, Wilbert Jackson and the Rev. Willie Clay Jackson.

Left to cherish her memories is her daughter, Tanya Jackson of Montgomery; three grandchildren and three great-grandsons; one sister, Barbara (Larry) Fuller of Sweetwater; brother, James (Josephine) Jackson of Lithonia, Ga.; a host of nieces and nephews, two nieces and a nephew raised as her very own, Marilyn (Earl) Henry, Debra (Albert) Paul and Daniel Jackson; with other relatives and friends.
