Mittie Ann Pritchett, a resident of the Toddtown community, departed this earthly life on Dec. 30, 2024. She was born to the late Angie and Lee Pritchett. Mittie was married to the late Clinton Cleveland, father of her beloved children. Later, Mittie found love again and married Tucker Law, with whom she shared nearly 50 years of marriage. Together they built a life filled with love and memories in Detroit, Mich., and Jackson, until Tucker’s passing. After returning to Jackson, Mittie united with Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church in Coffeeville, where she remained until her health no longer permitted her to attend.
Mittie had a natural talent for bringing beauty into the world, whether through her gardening, impeccable decorating skills, or the way she enriched the lives of those around her. Her warmth, kindness and radiant spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Tucker Law; sister, Annie Leeand; brother, Willie Lee; and grandson, Micharlis.
Mittie’s legacy lives on through her son, Carnel; stepchildren, Theodore (Mary) Law and Rosie Nell Law Allen; sister, Alma; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Dubose and Minnie Lee Johnson; brother’s-in-law, Mose Law and Fletcher (Marie) Law; with hosts of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Service will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, 1:30 p.m., at Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church, 255 Ebenezer Church Road, Coffeeville, AL 36524. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Jackson Memorial Funeral Home.
