Nevyn Mi’Kez Campbell was born March 29, 2007, in Grove Hill, Alabama, and was a lifelong resident of Jackson, AL. The Lord called him home on Saturday, May 1, 2021.
Nevyn was a loving son and devoted big brother. He was a quiet and reserved young man who enjoyed playing basketball and Fortnite online game with his friends. He also enjoyed eating out with his family and friends. Nevyn united with Good Hope Baptist Church, Salitpa, AL, at an early age. He was a student at Jackson Middle School.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Alex and Mattie Bell Scott, Wren and Ida Mae Pogue, Dave Boxley and Joe Lewis Mitchell.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving mother, Kanica McGhee; father, Ladreg Campbell, and stepfather, Freddrick Hunt, all of Jackson, AL; grandparents, Glenn and Cathy McBride, Pastor Tyrone and Johnnie Mae Pogue, Dread and Barbara Campbell, all of Jackson, AL, Reginald and Daneta Boxley of McIntosh, AL; great grandparents, James and Mary Jo Peoples, and Hattie Bell Mitchell, all of Jackson, AL, Rosa Lee Boxley, Mt. Vernon, and Bishop Will and Charlene Curry, Mobile, AL; two sisters, De’Rhianna Williams and London Campbell, both of Jackson, AL; five brothers, Kyler Sullivan, Wagarville, AL, Ta’Dereon Campbell, Ta’Vari Campbell, Freddrick Hunt Jr. and Tyson Hunt, all of Jackson, AL; a host of aunts and uncles, three devoted, Deven McGhee, Mario McGhee and Tyra Pogue all of Jackson, AL; adopted uncles, Dario Crayton, Mobile, AL, and Marquez Robinson, Jackson, AL; a host of cousins, some devoted, Jer’Mya Flott, Tannon Williams, Arik Reed, Desmond Hill, and Trevoin Robinson, all of Jackson, AL; a special friend, Michael Dixon III, Jackson, AL; with a host of other relatives and friends.
