Patrick Bouvier Jones, of Leroy, sadly passed away on March 22, 2026. Patrick was born Jan. 23, 1964 in Jackson, to Diane Jones and Joe Halloway.
He was a graduate of Leroy High School in Leroy. A man of creativity and passion, he was known for his work as the author of the book, "A Country Boy Will Survive."
With a deep love for the outdoors, he found great joy in hunting and fishing.
Patrick will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and free spirit. He had a heart of gold and was the kind person who would give you his last. He loved his family and was a great brother and a loving presence in the lives of those who knew him.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Diane Jones Yelder; grandparents, Henry "Dude" Jones and Ruby Franks Jones; niece, Teyonna Mone' Williams; aunts, Eunice Bettis and Yvonne "Mickey" Hershenson; uncle, Garylin Jones; and close cousin, Franklin B. Jones.
Patrick is survived by his brother, Brandon Yelder Sr.; loving and devoted sister-in-law, Shawntae Yelder; six nephews, Brandon "Bam" Yelder II, Franklin Yelder, Caleb Yelder, LaKeith Poole, Keslin Crayton and Jonathan Snell; one niece, Payton Morris; aunts, Joyce Jones Hamilton and Paulette Jones Manon; his father, Larry Yelder; close cousin, Valerie Hamilton; as well as a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
