Pearlie Mae Seals - Breech

Pearlie Mae Seals Breech, 73, a resident of McIntosh, passed away Oct. 21, 2022 while at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center surrounded by her family. She graduated from McIntosh High School in 1967. Employed as a nurse for more than 50 years following graduation from Good Samaritan Hospital School of Practical Nursing in 1968 as a Licensed Practical Nurse; Mastin School of Nursing at the University of South Alabama with a Registered Nurse Diploma in 1976; the University of Mobile with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1995 and a Master of Science degree in Nursing and Nursing Administration in 1997.

She served in the U.S. Army reserve for 12 years, earning the rank of Major/Assistant Chief Nurse in the 305th Field Hospital in Gulf Port, Miss. She was an active member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and served as a Religious Educator for more than 25 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Howard and Mary Seals; brother, Marion Seals; sister, Evelyn Seals; and nephew, Ensign Darrell E. Turner. 

She is survived by her siblings, Alfreda Washington, Janet Seals, Teresa Turner and Howard D. (Voncille) Seals; one sister-in-law, Norma Seals; nephews, Reginald Poole, Eric Turner, Marrio (Valerie) Seals, Bryan (Lilliana) Seals, Cameron Seals, Courtney (Adrain) Seals, William K. Seals and Frank Z. Turner; nieces, Aisha Rodriguez and Mary T. Turner; great-nephews, Nichols R.L. Seals, Elijah D. Washington and Stephen D. Rodriguez; great-nieces, Rachel (Tyrone) Wiggins, Angelica (Horace) Thomas, Taylor Seals and Zoelle Seals; and great-great-nieces, Sanaa Thomas and Harissa Thomas; a maternal aunt, Edna Killingsworth; with numerous other relatives.
