Randy Bumpers Obituary

Randy Jevon Bumpers, 50 of Jackson, Al affectionately known as " Bump" peacefully transitioned from this life on May 18, 2026, at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.

Born on July 27, 1975, Randy was the beloved son of Charles " Randal" Bumpers and Edith Bumpers, who both survive him. Randy was known for his strong spirit, kind heart, infectious sense of humor, and deep love for his family and community.

Randy gave his life to Christ at an early and a devoted member of Berry's Chapel AME Zion Church.

During his youth, Randy was recognized for his athletic abitly and love of sports. He attended Coffeeville High School football and basketball teams. His competitive nature and outgoing personality made a lasting impression on classmates, friends, and all who knew him. Following high school, he attended Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, and later served in the United State Air Force.

Randy was a passionate fan of Auburn Tigers football and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his beloved team. Win or lose, his Auburn pride remained strong and was something family and friends always associated with him

.Randy was most of his children and grandchildren, who brought immense joy and meaning to his life. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with family, share stories, laugh, and encourage those he loved.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving parents, Charles " Randal" Bumpers and Edith Bumpers; his children, Randy J,( Sofia) Bumpers II, Chasity Bumpers, Javonte Bradley, and Holly Wade; his grandchildren, Soriya Bumpers and Mikyah Johnson; his devoted companion, Melanie Simmons; along with a host of relatives, friends, loved ones, and community members who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, R, J, and Delia Mae Bumpers and Archie and Virgie Stewart.
