Raymond Holcombe

Deacon Raymond Holcombe, a native and resident of Bladon Springs, made his earthly transition Wednesday, May 13, 2020 while at Providence Hospital in Mobile. Born Sept. 21, 1925 to Willie Holcombe Jr. and Mamie Holcombe, he was 94 years of age.

Raymond was a member of the Goodwill Baptist Church in Bladon Springs, where he served as a deacon for many years until his health failed. 

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Maggie Holcombe; daughter, Catherine “Cat” Holcombe; one brother, Willie “Shine” Holcombe Jr.; three sisters, Ledester H. Campbell, Eliza R. Causey and Emma Raine.

Mourning his loss are his son, Eson Leander “Len” Holcombe; sister, Georgia (BD) Sullivan; devoted niece, Geraldine D. Crawford; nephew, Edward Holcombe; with all of their sisters, brothers, great-nieces and great-nephews.
