Raymond Pugh Obituary

Raymond Dell Pugh, age 63, a resident of Jackson, AL was born April 23, 1962 to the parentage of Reverend Odell Pugh, Sr. and Mother Clara Mae Pugh.  He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at SAAD Providence Hospital.

Raymond Dell Pugh was an avid quartet singer and was a member of "The Mighty Pugh Singers" for many years. He would also sing with "Ed Davis and The Golden Tones." When asked, he would also sing with the "Evening Stars."

Raymond was employed with the Alabama State Department for many years until he became disabled.  He was also an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Odell Pugh, Sr. and Clara M. Pugh; his grandparents: Bettie Martin, Gross Martin, Wallace Pugh, and Gladys Pugh; his aunt, Alice Pearl Bell; and his uncles: Willie L. Martin and George Martin.

Raymond Dell leaves to cherish his legacy and precious memories, his loving  and devoted daughter, Minister Lakeisha (Chason) Hundley of Gainestown, AL; sons Reco Washington and Terrance (Martine) Washington of Gainestown, AL and Juvak (Melanie) Washington; siblings; Bishop Eddie (Cedilla) Pugh, Sr. of Grove Hill, AL, George Pugh and Odell Pugh, Jr. both of Jackson, AL,Willis (Patrice) Pugh of Montgomery, AL, Evangelist Mary Pugh of Grove Hill, AL and Tawanda (Terry) Pugh of Mobile, AL; thirteen grandchildren  and three great-grandchildren; a devoted goddaughter, Camille Marshall; uncles: Gross Forman of Whatley, AL, Ken Forman of Detroit, MI, Sylvester Pugh, Sr. and Ronnie Pugh,Sr. of Winn, AL.; aunts: Barbara Martin of Montgomery, AL, Marie Shamburger of Thomasville, AL, Onnie Mae Cunningham of Winn, AL and Reverend Linda Faye (Arthur D) Hollinger of Excel, AL; two devoted cousins: Leonard Martin of Whatley, AL and Clara Martin of Grove Hill, AL; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives  and friends; special friends: Lewis Hunt, Nettie Hunt, and JoAnn Mitchell.
