Rebecca Ann Harris, a resident of Grove Hill, made her earthly transition on Saturday, March 26, 2022, while at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Fla. She was born on March 6, 1969 to the late Lamon Harris Jr. and Joann Powell. Rebecca was a graduating member of the Clarke County High School Class of 1987. She was a faithful member of the Morning Star Baptist Church of Whatley, where she served as a faithful choir member until her health failed and even during her sickness.
She was a woman of many talents, but most of all she enjoyed children, grandchildren and her great-grandson, as well as singing with her favorite group the Voices in Harmony.
Preceding her in death was her father; husband, Charles Ray Snell; her sister, Kimberly Dickinson; and her grandmother, Rebecca Ann Morrisette.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her four devoted children, Cortney (Catlin) Jackson of Gainestown, Antwinique Harris of Athens, Ga., Tawanda Harris and Jaquez Pritchett, both of Grove Hill; her devoted mother, Joann Powell of Monroeville; 11 siblings, Cleo Coleman, Michael (Marilyn) Harris and Donna (Brian) Kidd, all of Monroeville, Ronnie (Deborah) Harris of Repton, Zandra (Darrin) Williams of Frisco City, Henry (Neka) Harris of Grove Hill, Reginald Harris of Gosport, Leslie Dickinson of Saraland, Tracy Meggs and Steve (Alfreda) Dickinson, both of Jackson, and Bonnie Pearl Pugh of Mobile; eight devoted grandchildren and one devoted great grandson , and a host of nieces, nephews, god-children, family and friends.
