Robert Earl Jones Sr. ,a native of Jackson, AL answered the Master's call on friday, April 21, 2023 while at HCA Florida West Hospital in Pensacola , FL . Robert was born to the parentage of the late Henry Jones and Elouise Scruggs Jones on October 8, 1950 in Jackson, AL.

He attended Harper High School, following school he became a truck driver until his health failed.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Fannie Mae Jones, mother Elouise Jones Doss, father, Henry Jones, Brother Hosie Jones, five sisters, Doris Jones, Sallie Jones Brown, Sadie Jones Martin, Delores Jones Jackson, and Martha Jones Gully.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, La Rosia ( Mance) Mc Kenzie , Sonya Walker, both of Jackson, AL, Robert Jones Jr. and Delmonte (Danielle) Meggs Sr. both of Mobile, AL, John Moore of Detroit, Mi , sisters, Henrietta ( Emmitt)  Goodwin, Shander Mc Donald both of Jackson, AL, Fannie Pearson , Cheryl (Willie) Abston both of St Stephens, AL, and Loretha Doss of Grove Hill, AL, nine grandchildren, Sable ( Philip) Key of Memphis , TN, Delmonte Meggs Jr.  and De Ariel Meggs of Mobile, AL, Copeland Martin of Jackson, AL Ricky Crayton, Michael Dorsey, Johnisha Crayton, Rhianna Scott, Albert James, Darnell Crayton all of Jackson, AL, six great grands, a devoted niece, Rhonda Smith Jackson, AL, a devoted nephew, Reefua Jones of St Stephens, two devoted cousins Fred ( Jacquelene ) Scruggs of Jackson, AL, two devoted brother in laws, David Jackson of Rockville, AL and Johnny Martin of Jackson, AL , and host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
