Roosevelt Alan “Terry” Turner, a resident of the Chatom community, made his earthly transition Sunday, Nov.
17, 2024, while at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile. Roosevelt was born on Aug. 16, 1959.
A graduate of Washington County High School, he was a member of the Class of 1978. During his spare time, he
loved to fish prior to becoming ill, watching TV, enjoying the outside, and spending time with his children,
grandchildren, sister, and friends.
Roosevelt was a very caring, kind, and loving person who never met a stranger and always kept a smile. If he
could help you in anyway, he would.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Ole Mae Holcombe and Arthur James Williamson; his grandparents;
sister, Yolanda Turner Brown; and brother, Trent Turner.
Left to cherish his memories are his devoted children, daughter, Temisha (Jeremiah) Leggett of Carlton; sons,
Allen Daniels of Chatom and Terrell (Kaylee Rawlins) Daniels of Mobile; sisters, devoted Bettina Turner of
Chatom, Delaine Johnson and Dovie Ann Johnson, both of Hendersonville, N.C., Mary Elizabeth McMillan of
Portsmouth, Va., Patricia Johnson and Ruthie Mac Johnson of Mobile; five grandchildren, Jeremiah Leggett, Amelia
Leggett, Kylen Jackson, Kasyn Daniels and Kruz Daniels; with a host of aunts, devoted Juanita Wimberly of
Chatom; a host of uncles, devoted Donnie Wimberly and Red Turner, both of Chatom; seven nephews and two
nieces; devoted friends, Glendine Daniels, Bobby Ray Leverett, Bobby Manuel, Janice Manuel, Annie Pearl Turner,
Lisa Kirksey, Mary Poole, Frederick Daniels and George Rhodes; devoted caregivers, Clara Morris, Kim Coaker,
Kelly Cornett, and Brooke Glass; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
