On the evening of Aug. 02, 2021 God sent an angel, Rosie Bell Hill Causey, to her heavenly home. She was 102 years of age.
"I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course; I have kept the faith." II Timothy 4:7
Rosie Bell Hill Causey was born on June 16, 1919 to the late Ida Mae and Charlie Hill in Choctaw. Rosie Bell was a faithful member and devoted Christian of Shady Grove Baptist Church where she was a missionary and the oldest member of the church. She was united in holy matrimony to Oscar Causey Sr., who proceeded her in death. With this union she was blessed with four children. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dedicated home maker who loved God until her home going.
Rosie loved cooking, gardening and beautiful flowers.
Proceeding her in death is her son, Oscar Causey Jr.; grandson, Deon Causey and great-grandson, Demetrius Causey; and her brothers, Charles Lee and Henry Lee Hill.
She leaves behind to cherish her life love and memories her two daughters, Ida O'Neal of Mobile and Gloria Causey of Silas; son, James (Juanita) Causey of Silas; daughter-in-law, Brenda Causey of Silas; six grandchildren, Denise (Reggie) Causey, James Causey, Yolanda (Victor) Causey, Slater Jemyris Causey, Danielle Napier and Darnell (Kawanza) Napier and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Agnes (Tommy)Tate of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Hill of Silas and Evelyn (George) Roscoe of Millry; brother-in-law, Monroe (Juanita) Causey Sr.; devoted and caring nieces, Adella Powe and goddaughter / niece Louise Philon; with a host of other loving nieces, nephews and friends who she loved dearly.
Public viewing is Friday, Aug. 6, from 4 until 6 p.m., at Jackson Memorial Funeral Home, 203 East Ross St., Jackson, AL 36545. Service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 7, 3 p.m., at Shady Grove Community Park Pavilion, 1760 Shady Grove Road, Silas, with Apostle Cornelius Causey, eulogist. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
