Ruth Davis Washington

Ruth A. Davis Washington of Jackson answered the Master's call on Jan. 12, 2023 at her home. Ruth was born on Feb. 24, 1956 to Rhoda L. Duff Davis and Robert Davis in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Ruth attended First Pentecostal Church of Jackson, where she loved to attend as often as she could. Ruth was a very sweet, loving and caring person, who loved her dogs and cats, and was a lover of flowers and planting her vegetables in her backyard.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert Davis and Rhoda L. Duff - Davis; her husband, Eugene Washington; and two siblings.

Left to cherish her memories are six stepchildren, Sylvia Willis and Antonio Stynnard, both of Tampa, Fla., Sade Washington, Tarvaris Washington and Ricky Howard, all of Georgia, and Tarrence Davis of New Jersey; 17 step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; five sisters-in-law, Annette (Johnnie) Jackson, Shirley Ann Dortch, Bernice (Robert) Thomas and Bettie Ann Nobles (Scottie), all of Tampa, Fla., Jodie (David) Hyde of Thomasville; four brothers-in-law, Roy (Piniece) Nobles, Dwight (Diane) Nobles, Richard (Deloris) Nobles and Earnest Lee Nobles, all of Tampa, Fla.; dear friends, Suzanne Taylor of Montego Bay, Jamaica, Joyce Britton of  New Jersey, Mary Donald and Lisa and Daniel Jackson,  and Etta Shergent ,caregiver and devoted friends.
