SP4 WILLIE FRANK JACKSON
MARCH 9, 1948 - NOVEMBER 14, 2025
SP4 Willie Frank Jackson, Sr. was born March 9, 1948 to the late Isaac “Buddy” Fluker and Viola Jackson in Franksville, AL. He transitioned on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL.
Upon coming back “home” in Franksville, AL, after many years of living in Chicago, IL, Willie reestablished his membership with his home church of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.
At the age of 20, Willie enlisted and served a total of 1 year, 9 months, and 23 days in the United States Army, with 8 months and 9 days being active in foreign and/or sea service. He played an instrumental part in the Vietnam War. His military career ended with him receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Army Commendation Medal 1st OLC, as well as an honorable discharge.
He was well known for his auto mechanic abilities. He loved spending time with people that he called “family,” whether they were biological family or just friends that he felt were like family. He was
affectionately known as “Jack” to some and “Good Bud” to others; although his children called him…“Daddy, Pops, and Old Man”.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Isaac Fluker and Viola Jackson; five siblings: four sisters: Betty Jean Jackson, Archie Koen, Veronica Ray, and Lee Helen Boman; and one brother, Walter Jackson; one daughter, Kimberly Pargo; and one son, Christopher Jackson.
SP4 Willie Frank Jackson, Sr. leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters: Oleatha Anderson (very devoted daughter and caregiver) of Leroy, AL and Danielle Williams of Texarkana, Arkansas; three sons: Jeffrey (Belinda) Franks of Deltona, FL, Ulysses (Andrea) McNairy and Willie Jackson, Jr. both of Chicago, IL; two devoted sisters: Inez Jenkins of Los Angeles, CA and Mary Jackson of Chicago, IL; one devoted brother, Haywood Jackson of Texarkana, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law, Donterria Jackson of Chicago, IL; 20 grandchildren, two very devoted: Johnathan (Chelsea) Anderson of Leroy, AL and Andre (Cortney) Anderson of Mobile, AL; and 22 great-grandchildren; two aunts: Mother Creezel Sellers of Jackson, AL and Edna Dixon, Franksville, AL; friends: Francine Iberhardt of Chicago, IL; Dennis Woodard, and George Boykin both of Franksville, AL; God-sister, Hattie Marie Woodard of Franksville, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
