Samp, as he was affectionately called, was a quiet man who you could find early in the morning walking through
the community picking up aluminum cans.
Preceding him in death was his father, Richard Jackson Sr. and brother, Richard Jackson Jr.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving mother, Catherine Martin Jackson of Jackson; his children, Katherine
(Levon) Sharif of Columbus, Ohio, Myko Jackson of Mississippi, and Deonte Jackson of Troy; six grandchildren,
Sanaa, Sabir, Sanari, Evelyn Sharif, Scott and Bryan Johnson; six brothers, Joseph (Connie) Jackson of Columbus,
Ga., James Jackson of Killeen, Texas, Micheal (Teresa) Jackson of Dothan, Wade Jackson, Cedric Jackson and Paul
Jackson, all of Jackson; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
