Susie Pritchett Obituary

Susie Marie Lewis Pritchett, a native of the Choctaw Bluff community and a resident of Walker Springs, made her earthly transition on Monday, Jan. 25th, at Jackson Medical Center. She was born on April 2, 1958 to Louise Lewis and Theris Mosley. Early in life, she was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church in Choctaw Bluff. Later in life, following marriage, she united with St. Luke Baptist Church of Walker Springs. Susie’s favorite pastime was watching soap operas, playing spades, listening to music, cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Mamie Lee Pendleton, Jimmy Earl Simon, Derrick Lewis, David Lewis and Bobby Lewis. 

Left to cherish her loving memories are two daughters, Francine Washington and Krystal Pritchett, both of Walker Springs; two sons, Calvin (Denise Scott) Pritchett of Walker Springs and Christopher (Christine) Pritchett of Augusta, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Nekenya, Cameron, Kimora, Christopher Jr., Kirah, Trinity and Victor Jr.; three great-grandsons, Kenyon, T. J.  and Kelis; two sisters, Dianne Lewis of Mobile and Cynthia (Mack) Wright of Suggsville ; two brothers, Jerry Lewis and Theodore Lewis, both of Jackson; three aunts, Christy Mae Simon and Marilyn Simon, both of Choctaw Bluff, and Anna Mosley Smith of Walker Springs; two uncles, William Robinson of Choctaw Bluff and Robert Robinson of Georgia; seven sisters-in-law, Helen (Bennie) Council of Choctaw Bluff, Viola (Ray) Smith of Mobile, Velma P. Leggett and Sadie P. Harris, both of Walker Springs, Valerie P. (Leonard) Jackson and Katherine (Gary) Pugh, both of Jackson, and Ida B. Lewis of Alma; seven brothers-in-law, Rawleigh Pritchett Jr., Clausell (Peggy) Pritchett Sr., Waymon (Gladys) Pritchett, McAuther Pritchett, Kenneth Pritchett and Asie Pritchett, all of Walker Springs, and Joe English of Choctaw Bluff; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
