Brother T. C. Reed, Jr., a native of McIntosh, AL was born April 17, 1945, to the Mr. T. C. Reed Sr. and Mrs. Claudia Mae Reed. He departed this earthly life peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
Brother Reed was a faithful and dedicated member of New Beginning Apostolic Church, McIntosh, AL. He served faithfully in the church on the Trustee Board and the Director of the church's Maintenance Department. He was instrumental in the groundbreaking and building of the sent location, church in its sent location, and he was the overseer the of the church cemetery. Brother Reed's heart's desire was to serve God with a testimony of being. He stood on his testimony of being, " Saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost."
Brother Reed and wife were a blessing to the McIntosh Community by extending many of kindness. He dedicated his time and resources to assist the youth and McIntosh School.
Brother Reed was graduate of McIntosh Union High School. He was an honored Veteran who in the United States Army as an Army Clerk. He retired from Ciba Geigy as a Maintenance Supervisor after 38 years of employment. He was the first African American employed by Ciba Geigy as a Supervisor. He served on the Washington County Board of the American Red Cross, and he and his children shared a love for Alabama football.
He was preceded in death by his blessed parents, Mr. T.C. Reed Sr. and Mrs. Claudia Mae Reed. A loving son, T.C. Reed III, a precious grandson, Jaiveyon Reed; a devoted sister, Teacher Eddie Mae (Charlie) Whisenhunt; a devoted grandmother, Mother Sadie Thomas; and a precious father and mother-in-law, Mr. James and Reha Bettis.
Brother Reed leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Sister Carrie D. Reed of McIntosh, AL; three sons; Dwight V. Reed, Cory (Rebecca) Reed, and DeMarlo Reed; one daughter, Crystal (Benny Jr.) Bishop; two devoted brothers; Napoleon (Virginia Faye) Reed Sr. and Cleon (Cecelia) Brown Sr.; ten grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren; sister-in-law; Pamlea Jackson, Jackie (Van) Reed, Jane James, and Teresa Bettis; two aunts; Idella Dickinson -Bass and Willie Mae Adams, a host of nieces and nephews ; two devoted, Karen Davidson and Brenda Poole; a host cousins, other relatives, friends, former co-workers, and the New Beginning Apostolic Church Family of McIntosh, AL, who will remember the Life and Legacy of Brother T.C. Reed Jr. " To God be the Glory!
