Taylor James Moss, a resident of the Toddtown community of Grove Hill, AL, made his earthly transition Saturday, May 18, 2019 while at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center in Mobile, AL. Born April 9, 1950 to Willo Dean Roper Moss and Woodrow Moss, he was 69 years of age. Taylor accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pine Chapel #2 Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death are his father, Woodrow Moss; mother, Willo Dean Moss Alston; father, James Alston; grandparents, Agnes and Haywood Roper; brother, John Moss; and brother-in-law, Milton Batton.
Taylor retired from Nelson’s Garage in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the foreman of the parking garage for more than 25 years. He also worked as a laborer at St. Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Loving working outside, he raised the most beautiful vegetables, keeping the family supplied when they came home. His family devotion led him to take care of his mother for over ten years, with all the loving care she needed. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Left to cherish his memories are his memories are two loving sons: James (Latesha) Tate of Brunswick, GA and Curtis (Samantha) Tate of Pittsburgh, PA; three loving and devoted sisters: Margaret Moore, Vonciel Caver, and Grace Robinson, all of Pittsburgh, PA; the mother of his children: Patricia Tate of Pittsburgh, PA; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers-in-law: Mose Moore, III and Daniel Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
