Wade Leonard Chapman, a resident of the Mt. Sinai community of Jackson, departed this life peacefully on April 30, 2025. He was born Feb. 14, 1956, bringing a quiet strength and steady presence to those who knew him. Wade was a man of simple pleasure and a generous heart. He had a knack for tinkering with cars - not just as a pastime, but as a way to connect with others. Whether it was to change the oil, fix a stubborn engine, or just offering a second set of hands. Wade found joy in being helpful. He was the kind of man who would show up without being asked and lend a hand without expecting anything in return. Though life was not always easy, Wade carried himself with a gentle spirit and quiet humility that left an imprint on those around him.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Eunice Bettis; and his brothers, Michael Anthony Bettis and Paul Edward Pool.
He leaves to cherish his memory two devoted aunts, Joyce Hamilton and Paulette Mignon; along with a host of other relatives, devoted cousins, Addie Kimbell and David Anderson; and friends who will remember him for his kindness, steady smile and willingness to help.
Wade may not have made headlines, but his legacy is built in the everyday acts of goodness that make a life meaningful. He will be missed, remembered and honored in the hearts of all who knew him.
