Willie James Stubbs

Willie James Stubbs, affectionately known as Joe, was born April 3, 1967 to Mary Stubbs-Todd. He passed from this life Friday, Sept. 16, 2022. He attended Pine Hill High School and was a member of the Class of 1985. Joe joined the United States Army in 1987, and was honorably discharged in 1990. He resided in Birmingham until he was called home.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Mr. Alfred Stubbs Sr. and Mrs. Ida Mae Stubbs.

Joe left to cherish his memories, his mother and father, Mary and Wilmer Todd; two brothers, Bobby (Melissa) and Christopher Horn, both of Jackson; seven aunts, Ida (Charlie) Jackson of Dothan, Farrah Washington, Ruby Stubbs-Bridges and Harriet Stubbs-Robinson, all of Thomasville, Willie Irene Stubbs of Stockbridge, Ga., Mary Hall-West of Corona, N. Y., and Margaret Johns of Villa Rica, Ga.; and two uncles, David Stubbs of Thomasville and Raymond Shaw of Birmingham. Also his memories will be shared with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and one special friend, Youlander Belser of Birmingham.
